چکیده

Since its founding, NASA has been dedicated to the advancement of aeronautics and space science. The NASA Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Program Office plays a key part in helping NASA maintain this important role. The NASA STI Program Office is operated by Langley Research Center, the Lead Center for NASA's scientific and technical information. The NASA STI Program Office provides access to the NASA STI Database, the largest collection of aeronautical and space science STI in the world. The Program Office is also NASA's institutional mechanism for disseminating the results of its research and development activities. These results are published by NASA in the NASA STI Report Series, which includes the following report types: • TECHNICAL PUBLICATION. Reports of completed research or a major significant phase of research that present the results of NASA programs and include extensive data or theoretical analysis. Includes compilations of significant scientific and technical data and information deemed to be of continuing reference value. NASA's counterpart of peer-reviewed formal professional papers but has less stringent limitations on manuscript length and extent of graphic presentations. • TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM. Scientific and technical findings that are preliminary or of specialized interest, e.g., quick release reports, working papers, and bibliographies that contain minimal annotation. Does not contain extensive analysis. • CONTRACTOR REPORT. Scientific and technical findings by NASA-sponsored contractors and grantees. • TECHNICAL TRANSLATION. English-language translations of foreign scientific and technical material pertinent to NASA's mission. Specialized services that complement the STI Program Office's diverse offerings include creating custom thesauri, building customized data bases, organizing and publishing research results. .. even providing videos. Trade names or manufacturers' names are used in this report for identification only. This usage does not constitute an official endorsement, either expressed or implied, by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. ABSTRACT Recent advances in dye-sensitized and organic polymer solar cells have lead NASA to investigate the potential of these devices for space power generation. Dye-sensitized solar cells were exposed to simulated low-earth orbit conditions and their performance evaluated. All cells were characterized under simulated air mass zero (AM0) illumination. Complete cells were exposed to pressures less than 1¥ 10 –7 torr for over a month, with no sign of sealant failure or electrolyte leakage. Cells from Solaronix SA were rapid thermal cycled under simulated low-earth orbit conditions. The cells were cycled 100 times from –80 ∞C to 80 ∞C, which is equivalent to …

Investigation the effect of substrate photo-electrode based on screen method on performance of dye-sensitized solar cells

In this paper we studied preparation of working films of dye-sensitized solar cells using screen printed method. The organic dye based on phenoltiazine with cyanoacrylic acid as the electron donor group utilized as photosensitizer. Fluorine-doped thin oxide FTO coated glass is transparent electrically conductive and ideal for use in dye-sensitized solar cells. FTO glass was coated by screen pri...

Carbon Nanotube/space Durable Polymer Nanocomposite Films for Electrostatic Charge Dissipation

Low solar absorptivity, space environmentally stable polymeric materials possessing sufficient electrical conductivity for electrostatic charge dissipation (ESD) are of interest for potential applications on spacecraft as thin film membranes on antennas, solar sails, large lightweight space optics, and second surface mirrors. One method of imparting electrical conductivity while maintaining low...

Tones Using Unstructured Grids NASA / TM — 2002 - 211799 August 2002 AIAA – 2002 – 3889

The space-time conservation element and solution element (CE/SE) method is used to solve the conservation law form of the compressible axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations. The equations are time marched to predict the unsteady flow and the near-field screech tone noise issuing from an underexpanded circular jet. The CE/SE method uses an unstructured grid based data structure. The unstructured ...

Fabrication of Small-Molecular-Weight Organic Thin-Film Solar Cells by Combination of Wet and Dry Processes

We succeeded to fabricate p-n heterojunction and bulkheterojunction small-molecular-weight organic thin-film solar cells by combination of dry (p-type = zinc phthalocyanine, n-type = fullerene) and wet (p-type = tetra-tert-butyl zinc phthalocyanine, n-type = [6,6]-phenylC61-buteric acid methyl ester) processes. Relationship between morphologies of semiconducting layers and photovoltaic properti...

P-102: Amorphous Silicon Thin-Film Transistors-based Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Displays

In this paper, we describe hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) thin-film transistor (TFT)-based active-matrix arrays for active-matrix organic light-emitting displays (AM-OLEDs). The proposed pixel electrode circuits based on three a-Si:H TFTs can supply a continuous output current for AM-OLEDs. Each pixel circuit has compensation circuits that can adjust for the OLED and a-Si:H TFTs electr...
